![]() SEATTLE, WA (March 22, 2020) - KitoTech Medical, a medical device company, announces the addition of a microMend® Combo Pack to its growing line of consumer products. This product gives consumers more options to treat wounds and expands the use of microMend to close smaller lacerations and serious cuts on the fingers and discrete areas of the face. These are common and challenging areas to treat with existing wound closure products. The new microMend combo pack contains novel Extra Small Devices together with our currently marketed Small Devices. The Extra Small Devices are designed to close smaller wounds on the fingers, nose, ears, and around the mouth and eyes. The Small Devices in the package can be used to treat wounds elsewhere on the body. In addition, the two different size devices can be used in combination to close longer wounds. “We are excited to introduce the new Extra Small Device with the Combo Pack which provides consumers with the flexibility to close typical wounds as well as those that are difficult to treat. KitoTech is committed to offering a family of microMend products that addresses the increasing demand for treating lacerations at home and other settings rather than emergency rooms and urgent care clinics,” said Dr. Ron Berenson, President and CEO of KitoTech Medical. “The Combo Pack is an important addition to our portfolio of consumer products.” KitoTech Medical Announces New U.S. Patent Granted on Its microMend Wound Closure Products3/18/2021

With this funding, the company will expand its sales organization to market and sell microMend products to increasing numbers of physicians, hospitals, and clinics. In addition, the financing will provide the resources to allow KitoTech to introduce microMend into many additional clinical specialties, including orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, and general surgery. The financing will also support commercial activities in the consumer market, where there has been rapid sales growth since introducing microMend products into this segment a few months ago. “microMend has demonstrated that it is faster and easier to use than sutures and provides superior cosmetic results. It is being adopted by large numbers of physicians and hospitals. With the funding from the current round, we plan to build our sales team and give more doctors and patients the opportunity to experience the many benefits of microMend,” says Dr. Ronald Berenson, President and CEO of KitoTech Medical. “In addition, we have witnessed extraordinary sales growth of our microMend products in the consumer market. The products have the same general design of other microMend® products, but are more elastic and ultra-flexible. This makes microMend FLEX+ ideal for closing wounds over joints and allows it to mold to the skin in areas with varying architecture, such as the abdomen, chest, breast, face, hands, and fingers. The first microMend FLEX+ product, microMend FLEX+ WIDE, is intended for closing longer incisions in orthopedics (joint surgeries), abdominopelvic surgeries, cardiothoracic surgeries, Caesarean sections, and plastics (breast, extremities, and abdomen). “We are excited about the new breakthrough design of the microMend FLEX+ series, which adds high levels of flexibility and elasticity to our growing line of products. These features make microMend FLEX+ especially useful to close wounds in areas of the body subject to high levels of motion and stress. Its elasticity also allows microMend FLEX+ to conform to complex skin surface geometries, which are often encountered in surgery,” said Ron Berenson, MD, President and CEO. “We are first introducing the microMend FLEX+ WIDE, which enables rapid and secure closure of longer incisions associated with joint surgeries, Caesarean sections, and many other procedures – reducing closure times by 10-15 minutes. Given the high costs of ORs and similar facilities, this translates into savings of hundreds of dollars,” Dr. Berenson continued. ![]() SEATTLE (PRWEB) OCTOBER 29, 2020 KitoTech Medical, Inc. has been awarded a group purchasing agreement for Non-Invasive Skin Closure Devices with Premier.
